Experienced and Aggressive Legal Representation
Shannon Kanavy has been practicing family law in Bucks County, Montgomery County and Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania since 1998. She focuses her practice exclusively in the area of family law, where she handles all phases of the negotiation and litigation of domestic relations cases, including custody, child support, alimony/spousal support, protection from abuse, equitable distribution, divorce and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
Shannon has spoken regarding a variety of family law matters for the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section, the Bucks County Bar Association, University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University, Widener University, Bucks County College and Montgomery County College.
Memberships
Shannon is an active member of the Bucks County Bar Association, where she has served on the annual Bucks County Bar Association Bench Bar Conference and former chair person for Bucks County Law Day, Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the PBA. Shannon provides pro bono family law services thru the Bucks County Bar Association and Legal Aid of Bucks County. Shannon was a member of the Bucks County American Inn of Courts 2011 – 2015.

Shannon received her B.A. from Rosemont College and her B.S. at Villanova University. She received her J.D. from Widener University School of Law, in Delaware.
Volunteer and Community Work
Shannon volunteers to assist those receiving Social Security Disability with their health insurance programs. She works closely with Pennsylvania State Representatives to assist those disabled constituents’ in obtaining health insurance and other benefits available. With her children, she volunteers for the community to raise money for the Helen Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children, various Food Pantries in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and the Community Cares program with the Central Bucks School District.

Shannon lives with her husband, three children, two dogs and a few chickens in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
